agilent d-main interior 6Loveland, Colorado Campus

Program Management, Owner’s Representative, Budget & Schedule Control

Agilent Technologies occupied four large buildings on their Loveland campus in northern Colorado. As part of an ongoing improvement effort across their sites, Agilent asked The CPI Group to serve as the project manager in an Owner’s Rep role during the remodel of Building D. This facility previously served as a printed circuit board assembly plant and the design called for a complete interior renovation into Class A office and conferencing space. There were several unique challenges presented during the project:

  • Remodeling above an occupied space
  • Lead and asbestos abatement
  • Product demonstration conference room
  • Custom designed and constructed light features
  • Equipment lab areas within cubicle offices
  • Open office areas with no power poles

CPI’s project manager was placed on site in a full-time role to oversee construction and coordinate issues between the constructor, the design team, and the Owner. Additionally, we were asked to assist Agilent’s EH&S group with construction safety walk-throughs and required environmental paperwork. The project was completed on time and under budget. In fact, the team was so far under budget that Agilent was able to provide several “wish list” items identified early in the design. The building’s users were extremely pleased with the final product and Agilent’s facilities group received excellent ratings on the annual survey.
