Hello all,

It has been just over two weeks since the senseless killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 25th. Mr. Floyd’s death has resulted in widespread protests across the country and in many other parts of the world. The protests are intended to highlight institutional racism which occurs throughout our society, but specifically as that racism manifests itself in violent behavior by law enforcement towards members of minority communities. The protesters are demanding action from civic leaders to make systemic changes to address that violent behavior.

At CPI, we have always believed in treating people with honesty, dignity, respect, and fairness as evidenced by our established CPI Values. We believe that we are stronger as a company when we promote diversity, inclusion, and fair treatment as a way of doing business; whether in our hiring practices, our compensation practices or our choice of business partners. Our work with the All Small Business Mentor Protégé Program run by the Small Business Administration which is aimed at helping minority-owned businesses is one example of our commitment to applying action to our stated CPI values.

On behalf of the Executive Leadership Team and the owners of CPI, we want to make it clear that we stand in solidarity against injustice, racism, discrimination, and violence of any kind, including violence against law enforcement. We work with people of all races at CPI and across our clients. We believe it is critical that we hold ourselves accountable to real action on behalf of our employees, our partners, our suppliers, and our clients to root out bias in favor of fairness for all.
